We started our day with breakfast with “Shoko Chavitz Chalav Chazak (a chocolate milk) and pancakes. Then we headed off to Kibbutz Revivim where we learned how to survive through the 1948 Independence War. We got to try on actual garments of the time and ran around in a bunch of military trenches. We saw the national bird of Israel, the Hoopoe, standing on a statue of a soldier by the Kibbutz.
